Objective: Clinical observation and follow-up of Nuss operation in correction of pectus excavatum.Methods: From January 2012 to October 2018,138 patients,including120 males and 18 females aged from 3 to 27 years,were treated with Nuss in the department of thoracic surgery of the first affiliated hospital of guangxi medical university.According to the classification of Park,117 patients were classified as symmetrical type(84.5%),and 21 patients were classified as asymmetric type(15.2%).Preoperative Haller index was 3.20 ~ 15.00,5.18±2.14.Haller index and zeng qi's evaluation criteria were used to evaluate the surgical efficacy.Results: All patients successfully completed the surgery without perioperative death or cardiac perforation,the operative time(82.6±28.0)min,intraoperative bleeding(17.1±15.4)ml,postoperative hospitalization time(4.62.1)days,postoperative review of chest CT measurement Haller index 2.1 ~ 5.4,3.18±0.58,there was a statistically significant difference in Haller index between the two groups(p<0.05)..Evaluation of efficacy 2 ~ 3 months after surgery: excellent in 130 cases,good in 8 cases,no intermediate or poor cases.43 patients were treated with plate internal fixation in our department 2 to3 years after surgery,and follow-up was continued for 3 to 24 months.The mean half-year review of chest radiographs showed no recurrence of sternal depression.Among them,95 patients were followed up for 2 to 30 months,with an average of 20 months,without displacement of internal fixation plate.Conclusions: Nuss surgery correction pectus excavatum small trauma,less bleeding,rapid recovery,satisfactory surgical results.
