Comprehension Of The Treatment Of Vocal Cord Benign Lesions With Throat Drill

Objective:To study the therapeutic effects with general anesthesia microscope self-retaining laryngoscope to benign lesions of vocal cord by throat drill.Methods:Clinical data of 119 cases with vocal benign lesions were analyzed retrospectively from January 2009 to December 2010. Before the operation, all patients received throat endoscopic imaging and saved it. After the operation, a definite clinical diagnosis was done by pathological examination. In all the patients, polyp of vocal cord was 81 cases, keratosis of vocal cord was 9 cases, vocal cyst was 24 cases, and leukoplakia of vocal cord was 5 cases. Benign lesion of vocal cord was removed by throat drill under general anesthesia microscope self-retaining laryngoscope. All patients were received one to three month after operation and saved data in order to study the clinical curative effect and applied value.Results:All the 119 cases were received general anesthesia microscope self-retaining laryngoscope to benign lesions of vocal cord by throat drill. The statistical data through the postoperation follow-up time and showed that efficiency of the group was 100%. With miniature throat drill vocal cord benign lesions were removed, not injuring vocal mucosa, but improving the normal operation of fine degree, thereby improving the operation effect. It could also reduce the postoperative complications, No complications happened in 119 patients.Conclusion:If patients do not have the high demands for voice quality, smaller, pedicle vocal benign lesions can been done in outpatient surgery with throat endoscopic in ordinary hospital. For wide, with the larger basement vocal benign lesions and polypoid, it is better to operate under general anesthesia microscope support laryngoscope by throat drill. Due to the equipment and anesthesia, this can be extensively done in larger hospital. Throat drill operation with general anesthesia microscope self-retaining laryngoscope to benign lesions of vocal cord have the advantages of clear operation field, subtle and accurate observation, fire less, complete removal of lesions, and the low recurrence, being a good way of removing the vocal benign lesions.
