Objective:Analysis the relationship of branch retinal vein occusion, high myopia and asymmetric diabetic retinopathy identifying the protect or risk factors of diabetic retinopathy.Method:A retrospective analysis of 86 type 2 diabetics with diabetic retinopathy dignosed in endocrine sections of our hospital from Jan 2007- dec 2009.32 cases have the feature that one eye has branch retinal vein occusion while the other eye with unproliferative diabetic retinopathy has not branch retinal vein occusion,22 cases have the feature that one eye is high myopia(>6.0D) while the other eye is emmetropia.Another 32 type 2 diabetics without branch retinal vein occusion as control group, the age, sex, duration of diabetes matched with 32 cases with branch retinal vein occusion in one eye. To analyse the relationship of branch retinal vein occusion, high myopia and asymmetric diabetic retinopathy.;the relationship between dioptre and diabetic retinopathy;the relationship between branch retinal vein occusion and systemic situation.Results:32 cases with branch retinal vein occusion in one eye, eyes with branch retinal vein occusion have more serious fundus situation than contralateral eyes,16 eyes have proliferative diabetic retinopathy,3 eyes complicates traction retinal detachment;among the rest 16 eyes with nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy,3 eyes have mild nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy,5 eyes have moderate nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy,8 eyes have severe nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy, among contralateral eyes,3 eye have no obvious diabetic retinopathy,9 eyes have mild nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy,12 eyes have moderate nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy,8 eyes have severe nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy; 22 cases with high myopia in one eye, all myopia eyes have less serious fundus situation than contralateral eyes, either have no obvious diabetic retinopathy or have nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy, none of them have proliferative changes. Among high myopia eyes,10 eyes have no obvious diabetic retinopathy,7 eyes have mild nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy,3 eyes have moderate nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy,2 eyes have severe nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy;among contralateral eyes,l eye have no obvious diabetic retinopathy,3 eyes have mild nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy,5 eyes have moderate nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy,5 eyes have severe nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy,8 eyes have proliferative changes,2 eyes complicates traction retinal detachment..Diabetic retinopathy becomes more mild when the diopter gets higher. Among 32 diabetes patients with unilateral branch retinal vein occusion,21 people have hypertension,19 people have hyperlipidemia,23 people with poor glycemic control. In control group,12 people have hypertension,13 people have hyperlipidemia,12 people with poor glycemic control.Conculsion:branch retinal vein occusion may be the risk factor of proliferative diabetic retinopathy,by contrast, high myopia may be the protect factor of diabetic retinopathy, with the deepening of myopia, the more obvious effect of this protection.Diabetics with hypertension hyperlipidemia, poor glycemic control are more likely to have branch retinal vein occlusion.
