Objective:To observe the effect of treating common fibular nerve paralysis with electroacupuncture.Find the more effective and safer teatment of TCM.Methods:The 48 subjects with common fibular nerve paralysis were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group. On the basal treatment, the control group was given the traditional acupuncture, and the treatment group was given the treatment of electroacupuncture. The changes in the symptoms and the nerve conductive velocity(NCV) were observed in the patients. Results:The results showed that the excellent rate of the treating group was 91.67%.and that of the control group was 70.83%.By the ridit test, the effect of treating group was better than the control group, and the difference was very significant (P<0.05). Compared with that of the control group, the nerve conduction velocity of the treating group was improved significantly (P<0.05)Conclusions:The changes in the effect of treating common fibular nerve paralysis in the patients showed that electroacupuncture had significant effect for the common fibular nerve paralysis, better than the traditional acupuncture, and electroacupuncture is an effective treatment of common fibular nerve paralysis.
