Objective:To investigate the effect of Jinkui shenqi wan combined calcium gluconate on osteoporosis in ovariectomized rat model, and explore its mechanism of prevention and treatment of osteoporosis.Methods:Divide 75 female rats randomly into control group, model group, calcium gluconate group, Jinkui shenqi wan group, Jinkui shenqi wan with calcium gluconate group. Make animal models of osteoporosis with the ovariectomized method, and intragastric administration. To investigate the serum OC, ALP, IL-6 content and histopathological observations after 3 months.Results:The serum OC, ALP and IL-6 in ovariectomized rats was higher than the model group(P< 0.01); The serum OC and IL-6 in calcium gluconate group and Jinkui shenqi wan group was lower than model group(P< 0.05),the serum OC in calcium gluconate group was lower than the model group(P<0.05),the serum ALP in calcium gluconate group had no significant change than in the model group,and them in Jinkui shenqi wan with calcium gluconate group was more lower than in the model group(P< 0.01). Histopathological observations:The encroached changes area on cortical bone was smaller, the bone trabecula was thinner, arranged consistent comparatively in the calcium and Jingui shenqi wan group. In the combined group,the thickness of cortical bone was nomal, the bone trabecula was slightly thinner, more regularly arranged.Conclusion:Jinkui shenqi wan combined calcium gluconate can reduce the loss of bone minerals in ovariectomized rat of osteoporosis, thus can prevent and cure osteoporosis.
