Objective:288 cases of perimnopause, including the general condition survey of clinical symptoms, with E2, FSH,5-HT in the laboratory testing and the data, were analyzed, to explore importance of the physical and psychological symptoms in Perimenopause, and the internal relation with the pathogenesis of TCM, which can provide the basis for the prevention and the clinical syndrome differentiation of perimenopause.Methods:The survey form is face to face questionnaires, including collection of clinical symptoms, TCM diagnostic information, menopause syndrome (TCM) rating scale, menopause rating scale (MRS), E2, FSH,5-HT test, which were analyzed into classification of traditional Chinese medicine and related dialectical analysis.Results:The age between 46 to 50 years account for a high incidence of PMS.The pathogenesis was mostly less than 36 months time. With a negative emotional stimulation accounted for 47.2%. The patients of intellectual workers were more than the number of manual workers, but not statistically significant (P>0.05), while significantly junior high school more than the following groups, statistically significant difference (P<0.01). TCM of kidney yin deficiency, heart and kidney do not pay, asthenic yin causing excessive pyrexia, kidney asthenia with liver qi depression, and kidney yang defficiency, yin and yang defficiency, were respectively accounting, 37.2%,28.5%,19.4%,7.6%,4.5%,2.8%.Postmenopausal E2 decreased significantly compared with pre-menopausal (P<0.01). The E2 level of kidney yin deficiency, heart and kidney do not pay, asthenic yin causing excessive pyrexia were low, while kidney yin and yang defficiency lowest. Patients with asthenic yin causing excessive pyrexia and kidney asthenia with liver qi depression respectively had the highest and lowest level of FSH.Conclusion:The clinical symptoms of menopause mostly concentrated in the 46-50 age. The perimenopause mainly occurred 1-3 years before or after menopause by the time and duration of menopause. The patients of intellectual highly educated workers were higher. Emotional factors were important cause of perimenopause, the social and psychological factors in the pathogenesis were playing an increasingly significant role. kidney yin deficiency, heart and kidney do not pay, asthenic yin causing excessive pyrexia were the common menopause witness various card types. The pathogenesis of this disease which showed the distribution of from somatic symptoms and characteristics of TCM is characterized by kidney yin deficiency of truth, the water not on the economy, hyperactivity of heart-fire and liver-fire, can be summarized as "less the lower, surplus the upper." Menopausal women endocrine changes in the overall is decline in vivo E2, increaseing FSH.The degree of renal failure in this disease have a certain correlation with the reduction E2. FSH may be related to changes in Chinese Liver dispersion, with the function of regulating emotions.
