Objective:Eczema is a kind of allergic diseases with extreme itching and easy to relapse. It was usually caused by a variety of internal and external factors, the pathogenesis is complex and unexplained. Through this experiment,To investigate the levels and clinical significance of IL-17 and IL-23 in patients with Eczema. Methods:Reference the diagnostic criteria of Clinical Dermatology edited by Zhao Bian and related reference, to Select 45 cases of eczema,23 males and 22 females, aged 16-78 years, mean (35.68±10.58) years. Grouped according to clinical manifestations,15 patients with acute eczema, and 15 of subacute and 15 chronic eczema patients.30 sex-and age-matched healthy volunteers were recruited as normal controls.(14 males and 15 females, aged 18-76 years, mean 37.22±8.56 years). Concentrations of IL-17 and IL-23 in serum were measured by Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).And the clinical and laboratory data of the patients were collected.Results:1. The IL-17 levels of acute and subacute eczema patients were significantly higher than that of chronic phase patients and the normal group (p<0.05), but IL-17 levels between acute and subacute, chronic phase and normal groups were no significant statistic difference.2. The IL-23 levels of acute and subacute eczema patients were significantly higher than that of chronic phase patients and the normal group (p<0.05), but IL-23 levels between acute and subacute, chronic phase and normal groups were no significant statistic difference.3. The levels of serum IL-17 showed a positive correlation and regression with the levels of IL-23 (r=0.53,P<0.05)4. There were no relationships between the levels of IL-17 or IL-23 and other clinical indexes(including age, ESR, albumin, globulin, serum creatinine, lymphocyte, eosinophil count and platelet count). Conclusions:The levels of IL-17 and IL-23 are significantly elevated in patients with eczema, acute and subacute eczema patients is more obvious, there have statistic difference. The results suggest that IL-17 and IL-23 may play a role in the pathogenesis of Eczema.and there is a relationship with the disease Severity.
