Objective:To evaluate the influences of PCI on QT dispersion and Tpeak-Tend interval, and then explore the relationship between some electrocardiologic parameters and the extent and severity of coronary artery stenosis, in Elderly Patients With Coronary Artery DiseaseMethods:We had selected 679 subjects who is equal or greater than 60 years old hospitalized in cardiovascular Department of Tianjin first central hospital from september 2009 to August 2010.Their clinic information were recorded.such as gender, age, smoking, diabetes, hypertension, triglyceride, total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, uric acid, total bilirubin etc. and all subjects were underwent with coronary angiography(CAG). The ECG data were collected from 679 patients undergoing coronary angiograply and from 393 PCI patients to evaluate the extend and severity of coronary artery stenosis. All patients were divided into two groups. (1)536 patients with CAD group.(2)143 patients as negative control group. 536 patients with CAD group were divided into two groups. (1)284 patients with CAD are lower than 70 years old. (2)252 patients with CAD are equal or greater than 70 years old. according to the number of vessels with significant stenosis(1uminal narrowing of 50% or more). QTd, QTcd, TpTe and TpTe/(RR)1/2 were measured before undergoing coronary angiograply.393 PCI patients group which was further divided into 176 single-,118 double-and 99 triple-vessel disease groups according to the number of vessels with significant stenosis(luminal narrowing of 75% or more). QTd, QTcd, TpTe and Tp TpTe/(RR)1/2 were measured at 1 day and 7days after successful PCI. The method to analyze and deal with materials from both groups is the same. Chi square test used to compare the two groups'number datum. Measurement datum were expressed with mean±standard deviation(x±s),t tests were used to compare the number of two samples. The relationship between them was tested with SPSS 11.5 software. P<0.05 was considered to be statistic significance. Results:Comparison of age, sex, hypertension in CAD group and control group. Those values record were no significant difference between CAD group and control group(P>0.05). Comparison of smoking, TC, LDL-C, UA, TB and diabetes in CAD group and control group. Those values record were significant difference between CAD group and control group(P<0.01). Comparison of QTd, QTcd, TpTe and TpTe/(RR)1/2 in CAD group and control group.The QTd, QTcd, TpTe and TpTe/(RR)1/2 record were significant difference between those values in two groups(P<0.01). Those values record were significant difference between the patients with CAD are lower than 70 years old and the patients with CAD are equal or greater than 70 years old groups(P<0.01). There were significant difference between those values one day and seven days before and after PCI(P<0.01)。But, there were no significant difference between those values one day and seven days after PCI(P>0.05). Those values of double vessels were much shorter than that of other groups before and after PCI.Conclusion:Successful PCI can supply enough blood to myocardium, and therefore shorten QTd, QTcd, TpTe and TpTe/(RR)1/2. The QTd, QTcd, TpTe and TpTe/(RR)1/2 can reflect the severity and range of coronary artery stenosis, but those values is age related. The testing can be a valid index for evaluating myocardial ischemia in CAD patients. The monitoring of serum TC, LDL-C, UA and TB has directive significance for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease.
