Objective:To study and analysis the clinical efficacy of the atrial fibrillation that treated by radiofrequency ablation maze procedure. Methods:From December 2007 to December 2011, the Cardiothoracic Surgery Section of Chinese Medicine Hospital of XinJiang Medical University had treated 30 patients with atrial fibrillation in patients with rheumatic heart disease.Amone them there were ten males and twenty females.Their age were 34 to 75 years old,and the average age is 56.6 years. And 16 cases combined radiofrequency modified maze procedure in mitral valve replacement is set to the treatment group,14 cases of mitral valve replacement as controls. Amone the treatment group underwent a total of 7 cases of left atrial thrombus dissection, and 1 patient did the aortic valve replacement, and 1 patient underwent coronary artery bypass grafting.Amone the control group,5 patients underwent left atrial thrombus dissection. Results:There were no deaths in the two groups, Myocardial blood flow occlusion time treatment group was 65.75±22.8min, the transit time was 101.2±27.3min.And the Control group, myocardial blood flow occlusion time is 59.9±9.4min, the transit time is 92.14±8.1min. After routine 3 to 6 months later we review the ECG,and echocardiography. During the postoperative follow-up No deaths were followed up there was no significant adverse bleeding and embolic complications, and no deaths were followed up.Conclusions:The modified maze procedure is safe and effective to treat atrial fibrillation,it can eliminate the atrial fibrillation, restoration of sinus rhythm, improve the patients quality of life.
