Lycoris radiata Herb, is a plant of Lycoris Herb.(Amaryllidaceae) with a wide distribution in the most provinces in the south of the Yangtze River. Modern scientific researches found the Lycoris radiata Herb had a large number of alkaloids with diverse structures, which had a wide range of interesting biological effcets including antitumor, antibacterial, antifungal, antimalarial, antiviral, analgesic and acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activities. Galanthamine, an alkaloid isolated from Lycoris radiata Herb., is used for the treatment of myasthenia gravis, poliomyelitis sequela and has been approved in several countries for treating the Alzheimer's disease as a potent inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase in recent years. This thesis focuses on the isolation of alkaloids in Lycoris radiata Herb.of Sichuan for the first time in order to further investigate the chemical constitutions in Lycoris radiata Herb. The alkaloid constituents were isolated and purified with chromatographic methods, such as macroporous resin, silica gel, Sephadex LH-20and so on and their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic techniques including HR-ESI-MS,1H-NMR,13C-NMR, DEPTT,1H-1HCOSY,HMBC,HMQC. Sever known compounds have been isolated from Lycoris radiata Herb, and identified as:6-O-ethyllycorenine (1), homolycorine (2), hippeastrine (3), O-demethylhomolycorine (4), dihydrolycorine (5), lycoramine (7), dibutyl terephthalate (8) and a mixture of a new pair of isomer was named as radiatinines A (6a)and B (6b). Additionally, the13C-NMR data of6-O-ethyllycorenine (1) was supplemented.
