The prosomillet is one kind of important nurse plant in the arid and semi- arid area, it situated the second in the cereals crops, it's also the pioneer plant in newly reclaimed land and the ideal multiple cropping plant.The prosomillet has rich nutritional value, very widespread dietary value and very important medical value . Compared with cereals crops like wheat, paddy rice, millet, the sub-per unit area yield of the prosomillet is generally low, mainly has the managerial technique, the quality and the degree of being valued. Therefore, the research related prosomillet promoting yield and quality has the important meaning,it have the important strategic sense in enhances the prosomillet sub-planter area farmers' income and keeps the type of national grain in banlance.1. CHA has a positive effect in promoting male sterility,it is an effective method.The male sterility got from CHA have been studied in wheat,rape,rice and cotton in a degree,it shows a very broad prospect to us.This test selects ideal CHA for prosomillet from 18 kinds of herbicides and 4 kinds of other chemists, and take a deep research in Imazethapyr and SQ-1 which have reached the standard of CHA to analyse the best spray time and spray quantity.2. Additionally, we analysesed the physical and chemical properties of the three leaves on the top of the Millet which were affected by different kind of CHA. And the kernel weight, Germinating potential Germinating rate was discussed. The result is as follows:22 CHA were used to study their Male Sterilizing Effect to YuMi 2. The result showed that the Male Sterilizing Effect of different CHA were different. The male sterile rate induced by Imazethapyr and SQ-1 were both over 95% . The male sterile rate and crossing rate were both raised by increasing dosage the while the fruit setting rate of natural pollination decreased. The difference of fruit setting rate of natural pollination fertility treated by different dosage of SQ-1 is larger than that of Imazethapyr. SQ-1 has little effect on growth and phenotypes of proso compared with Imazethapyr.By mearsuring rate of the male sterility, Hybrid and natural pollination of YuMi 2 treated by Imazethapyr and SQ-1 with single factor experiment,the result showed that the male sterility rate was less than 95% at dosages of 0.8kg/hm2 and 1.0kg/hm2 when sprayed with Imazethapyr while other dosages did not meet the yield needs. The male sterile rate could reach 95% if sprayed SQ-1 at the stage of late differentiation stage of the anlage of gynoecium and stamen and primary differentiation stage of pollen formation.When treated with 4.0kg/ hm2 and D5:5.0kg/ hm2 SQ-1 at the stage of primary differentiation stage of the anlage of gynoecium and stamen,late differentiation stage of the anlage of gynoecium and stamen and primary differentiation stage of pollen formation,the male sterile rate could reach 95%3. Physiological index is a very important aspect to study the Male sterility in plant. The result of determination and analysis the content of chlorophyll, peroxidase and malondialdehyde in top - three leaves of Broomcorn millet after spraying Monosulfuron-ester and SQ-1 showed that chlorophyll content decreased while malondialdehyde showed increased and the peroxidase content increased firstly and then decreased. The content of chlorophyll and peroxidase in the leaves at different positions at the same period ranked as flag leaf > top 2nd leaf>top 3rd leaf and the content of malondialdehyde as flag leaf < top 2nd leaf< top 3rd. The content of chlorophyll and malondialdehyde in the leaves at the same position ranked as control>Monosulfuron-ester> SQ-1,while the content of peroxidase as SQ-1>Monosulfuron-ester> control.4. The study on thousand grain weight, germination rate, germination percentage of YuMi 2 treated by Imazethapyr,Monosulfuron-ester and SQ-1 respectively indicated that the thousand grain weight of different treatments ranked as Monosulfuron-ester>SQ-1>CK>Imazethapyr , germination of them ranked as CK > SQ-1 > Monosulfuron-ester >Imazethapyr , and germination percentage as SQ-1 > CK > Monosulfuron-ester >Imazethapyr,while there was no difference among treatments.
