Abstract/Summary:
As the development of information technology, especially the the development of global Internet, It has been a trend to build supply chain management system with the information infrastructure, with this infrastructure the logistics flow, information flow, cash flow, business flow could all be managed easily. In this way, the information could be transferred between different entities in the supply chain quickly which could greatly overcome the disadvantages of traditional supply chain management system. As a result of this, the entities in the supply chain could react to the changes in a very short time. Grid computing technology, as a blueprint of a new generation computing infrastructure, has been a hot research spot in recent years. As a computing infrastructure that could be used to build large scale distributed information systems, grid computing has overcomed the limitation of geography restriction, and made the cooperation of different organizations possible.Because of the differences between agricultural products and other products, so the supply chain in agricultural area is also different compared to other supply chains. The differences are mainly refereed to these:agricultural products has various kinds, the differences between different products are also great and at the same time there are many different kinds of channels that agricultural products could be saled in the market. Agricultural supply chain, is a composed definition, it is based on the development of modern agriculture, its core lies in the manufacture of agricultural products, with the control of information, logistics and cash, including the sale of agricultural goods, the production of agricultural products and finally the agricultural products enter the end consumer market. The participants of this chain structure include farmland owners, the manufacturer of agricultural products, the wholesalers, the retailers and the end consumers. This paper mainly described a supply chain management system in agricultural area that is based on grid computing technology. With the resource management capacity of grid technology, this system made full use of the existed the information resources in agricultural supply chain area. This paper discussed the problems in agricultural supply chain area from various perspectives, and proved the possibility of building agricultural supply chain management system using gird technology. To guarantee stability of this supply chain system, dynamic trust model is used to trace the changes of entities. Also, a complete set of performance factor is used to assess the performance of the system. At the same time, to fully utilize the resources and to improve the performance of the system, incremental checkpoint technology is used to improve the performance of checkpoint operation in Condor.
