Micro-hillside caterpillar tractor,as a agricultural mountain machine should not only have the basic characteristics of a general crawler tractor, but also should have good traction adhesiveness and better stability. Along with the country pays more attention to agricultural mechanization development of the hills and mountains, begin to the research on the stability of micro-hillside caterpillar tractor, plays an irreplaceable role on improving the overall performance.Micro-hillside caterpillar tractor is a very complicated mechanical system, this paper based on the analysis of mechanical present situation and the present research of the stability domestic and foreign hillside caterpillar vehicles, comprehensive using classical mechanics analysis method, the three-dimensional modeling technology and the finite element method, has five main research work to micro-hillside caterpillar tractor:(1) Base on the present situation of hillside machine, according to the rationality of the space and stability requirement preliminarily determined the general layout.(2) To improve the lateral stability of the machine, this paper puts forward a kind of hydraulic levelling device with function of "two-way sent high" (has been declared national invention patent), and describes the structure and the working principle, and built the mathematical model with the existing of the hydraulic levelling device, deduced the relative relations of hydraulic poor travel, slope angle and the centroid position; then analyzed by simulation software for the hydraulic levelling device the influence of mass machine, provides basis to improve the lateral stability;(3) Using classical mechanical theory ,detailed the stability of steering and running straight of the micro-hillside caterpillar tractor on the hill, draw the stability evaluation index of the micro-hillside caterpillar tractor in driving on the hill, meanwhile analyzed the degree of difficulty of that tractor in different directions to ramp;(4) Through the indoor test, this paper obtained the exact location of the prototype centroid, calculated out stability evaluation index of theoretical analysis; through field experiment, obtained the actual maximum angle climbing a mountain road 23.94°;(5) Finite element static analysis to the main factor of affecting the stability-the frame. concludes the stress and strain frame convective cloud in the different conditions, the results show that the frame intensity and rigidity satisfy the requirement. The test is produced in great vibration noise problems, such as the machine frame of modal analysis, obtained 6 order natural frequency and modal shape under the condition of different strut, found out the minimum inherent frequency of the frame, and analyzed its results, the results show that the frame won't because the incentive cause resonance engine.
