As an electrical connection device demanding highest reliability and quality, aviation electrical connector requires its main component of glass billet to keep with high precision and quality, which need to be guaranteed with a kind of special equipment with excellent performance, that is the glass powder press. This paper expounds the design principle and main structure with glass powder press, and also analyses and design its main mould structure and hydraulic control system.The main work and achievements are as follows:1. Based on the analysis of glass billet structure and with the demand of its high reliabilityand precision, the paper is to complete the design for the solution of glass powder press.2. According to the design scheme of the glass powder press, the key parts are made of glass mould structure analysis and design calculation; it puts forward that the assembly precision and efficiency techniques; it conducts the finite element analysis of pattern cope and cope plate, cores and template matching model hole etc. key performance improved, precision mould with ABAQUS software; it checks and analyses the pressure of the shock strength, oscillation institutions as mechanical properties, stripping force that the glass billet density and the reliability of the mold cavity, and completes the design, charging design of locking mechanism principle and other related design.3. According to the working requirements of glass powder press, the paper conducts the analytical designing of its hydraulic control system. Based on its working demands in the accuracy and reliability, through the way of MATLAB + SIMULINK it applys the simulation analysis of suppressing the hydraulic cylinder, which improves the working accuracy and reliability. The paper completes the structure and design of hydraulic components on the basis of the hydraulic cylinder. 4. The glass powder press for aviation electrical connectors illustrated in the paper will obtain better functions than the universal pressing machine to produce glass billet, and the machine can improve slab billet size, shape, and the precision and stability of quality and uniformity density. Therefore, the pressing machine will make the enterprises more satisfied with the production needs of glass billet.
