With the rapid development of the world's high-speed railway and continuous improvement of running speed, smoothness has become the core issue of high-speed railway. Up to now, domestic and international experts has done a great deal of research work on the standards of middle-wave and short-wave track irregularity, but the magnitude's and wavelength's management of the long-wave irregularity are inadequate. Domestic and international experience in high-speed Railways'operations as well as some experimental results show that long-wave irregularity has a significant impact on the vehicles'comfort and stability. Therefore, the sensitive wavelength and standard of long-wave track irregularity is on the need for further research, which is very valuable.This paper makes use of the theory of nonlinear vehicle– track dynamics to establish vehicle - track coupled dynamics models including CRH2 and CRH3 M-car and T-car, empty and heavy car. The peak of car body acceleration is chosen as the main criteria for determining the track irregularity sensitive wavelength, except which other dynamic performance parameters, such as derailment coefficient, load reduction ratio, are also taken into consideration. The sensitive frequencies of CRH2 and CRH3 are calculated by use of simulation models, then, we can obtain the corresponding sensitive wavelengths by aid of the relationship between wavelength, frequency and velocity.Furthermore the sensitive wavelengths of the profile and alignment corresponding with CRH2 and CRH3 are obtained by use of the measured data from Shanghai-Hangzhou High-speed Railway testing line.The relationship between the dynamic response and amplitude of the track irregularity was found, and the wavelength and amplitude management of long-wavelength were defined. Finally through comparing and analysing the measured data from Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway testing line,the management values of long-wavelength profile and alignment are given.
