The power industry plays an important role in the protection of China's industrial and agricultural production and the normal life of residents, so to protect the normal operation of the power system is of great significance. The substation is a very important part of the power system, while electrical anti-misoperation locking system is an important device to prevent electrical misuse and to ensure the substation safely running. Computer key is a major part of the existing computerized anti-misoperation locking system, which plays an important role as a portable terminal device, to prevent the misoperation in power system. With the development of the electrical power industry, the embedded technology and microelectronics technology, the performance requirements of computer key are also being rised continually.In this paper, ARM-Linux-based embedded system is applied to computer key, aiming to design a portable handheld device based on embedded system. In terms of hardware, the hardware system placed S3C2440A microprocessor as the core is built, modular thinking is adopted to the functional division on the hardware system, on the basis of better implementation of the existing functionality of the computer key, according to the need, the GPRS wireless transmission, MINI USB data transfer interface, audio and camera features, the MINI SD card interface, LCD touch screen functionality is added, as well as the design of the power management module and a detailed analysis is carried out of the various functional modules, simultaneously the circuit design schematics is given. In terms of software, the software system placed Linux operating system as the core is built, using operating system to manage and schedule the resources of the entire system facilitates while upgrading the system and the development of the upper layer application. In software platform has been set up, aiming to the audio module and the image acquisition module of computer key, the corresponding device drivers are developed. Based on the software platform, the device drivers are developed for the audio module and graphics collection module of computer key. Finally, the embedded graphical user interface development tools-Qt/Embedded is used to design a graphical user interface of the computer key, making the computer key operation more intuitive and convenient.Embedded technology-based computer key is powerful, stable performance, compact and flexible, more convenient for user operation, easy to hand-held and carry, which will make the computer key become a truly portable smart handheld device and play a greater role to prevent the substation misuse accident.
