With the computer technology and wireless network technologies become more sophisticated, Embedded equipment has been deeply enter in all areas of people’s lives. Such as remote monitoring equipment, video servers etc. The main purpose of these devices is to meet the needs of real-time data transmission as well as some control functions. Embedded systems can be classified by size, time limit, network capacity, and user interaction.The main topic of this paper is to research ARM+Linux-based embedded system driver and applications development. Combined with a few specific examples described the development of embedded systems development processes and software and hardware design. The Wireless Image Receiver Controller’s function is to control Image Receiver via Ethernet. ARM11-based advertising system car was mainly used for research car multimedia devices.The contents of this paper mainly include the use of MFC for user interface design, development of concurrent server in Embedded Linux environment, and device drivers design.The system used in the automotive advertising technology, have adopted GPS positioning, Wi-Fi wireless communications technology, The selected media file format has been analysis to meet the demand of the system, makes it possible to process the video information and audio information and realization of audio and video synchronization.
