With the rapid development of chinese national economy, the rapid development of power system, super high voltage power system has become the main grid in china at present. The East China Grid has become the second strong power grid in the world, formed to the hierarchical partition running pattern that500kV voltage grade is the main network structure with220kV and the following voltage grade. Due to the power point dense, load density and system interconnection level closely in the Yangtze River Delta region, It is a serious problem that the short circuit current exceed the standard in the East China Grid500kV system. As the" west to East power transmission" hub in the East China Grid, the problem of short circuit current exceed the standard is more prominent in the Pingyao substation. In addition to the line out of string operation and breaking operation mode, Installing fault current limiter on the grid system line or bus, it is gradually becoming a settlement of the system short circuit current exceed the standard.The fault current limiter in the paper using LC series resonance principle,during the short-circuit faults, the thyristor can quickly bypass its capacitor, put into the reactor, increase the circuit impedance parameterd, which can limit the short-circuit current. In this paper, combined with the implementation of this project and the future operation experience, overall study of the series resonance type fault current limiter is conducted, discusses the fault current limiter (FCL) working principle, equipment structure, protection configuration, simulation of the current limiting effect, influence of relay protection and precaution measures, maintenance at various aspects. It shows that the fault current limiter is useful and feasible from theory to practice on solving the problem of the power system short-circuit current exceed the standard.In addition,this paper can help the further popularization and application of fault current limiter. |
