With the rapid development of China's railway system in recent years which include the technology improvement and EMU quantity increase, the higher requirements of railway scheduling system stability and monitoring system comprehensiveness are exist. Through "7.23" Yong Wen serious railway accident investigation, it can find that irrational design of the railway scheduling system is one of the most important reason for that accident. However at present, in the railway scheduling system, technologies like personnel positioning, VOIP, and intelligent mobile terminal are not widely used. Most parts of monitoring subsystem are separating, the interaction of the monitoring information between systems is lacking, which makes the whole system difficult to make decisions and operate efficiently. Therefore, a system which include real time personnel positioning, video communications, state alarm and judgment and intelligent and intuitive handheld terminals is needed.After deeply studying the functional requirements and the existing wired network topology of the railway electricity scheduling system, the design of new system is made, it combines by intelligent handheld terminals, GPS positioning module, ZigBee modules, Wi-Fi Access Point, Wi-Fi-ZigBee (WiZi)network transparent bridge and local terminal server. In this article, an idea of personnel positioning which based on Wi-Fi-igBee network is proposed. It finally makes out a test system, and now works on Wuhan South Lake railway station.The system designed provides full coverage personnel positioning and field information for railway electricity maintenance scheduling system, which not only guarantee the efficient operation of the scheduling system, but also greatly improve the safety and security of staff. It meets the development needs of the modern railway scheduling system.
