During the process of urbanization,as the number of motor vehicles and road traffic increased dramatically,traffic congestion has become a major constraining factor in urban development.Direct method to solve the traffic problem is to build more roads to improve traffic capacity of road network,due to limited space in urban areas, considering the road factor singly,it is difficult to solve traffic problems perfectly,the effectiveness of this approach is reduced significantly.Therefore,the development of intelligent traffic signal control system is an effective way to solve traffic problems in the existing road conditions.The traffic control system research status and development status of intelligent transport are profoundly analyzed in this dissertation, then, the embedded intelligent traffic signal control system is researched and achieved to be implemented.Firstly, the existing traffic control system model at home and abroad, and the basic theory of traffic signal control are analyzed.By typical urban intersection model, fuzzy control algorithm based on Neural network is used to achieve real-time control of a single intersection, simulation results show that the algorithm achieved the basic requirements for traffic signal control.Secondly, for intelligent traffic signal control system design requirements, the design scheme of multi-period timing control, sensor control and fuzzy neural network algorithm control is proposed.LPC1768 master chip based on ARM Cortex-M3 architecture is used to achieve the main control board hardware modules design of the signal control system;Also, the function-driven module is completed based on LPC2109, the design of external Flash,FRAM,Ethernet and USB interface circuits are achieved; The communication between the main control board and function-driven board module is achieved through the CAN bus.Finally, embedded RTOSμC/OS-Ⅱis used to achieve the multi-task control of traffic signals in software design.Operating system kernel transplanted on LPC1768 is completed, and the compilation of 10 driver is achieved; CAN communication and detailed analysis of signal control parameters set are achieved, and TCP-based network communication is implemented. Then through exploration and research, web server based on signal machine is achieved which can be accessed remotely to read the signal control system parameters.
