With the development of science and technology and the improvement of the level of automation, velocimeter as a kind of tool for information has been used in many fields. It plays an important role in traffic, sports, medical, military and so on. There are many ways for velocity-measuring. The present ways are the Doppler navigation radar, pulse instrumentation radar, frequency modulation radar, laser velocimeter and so on. The designed velocity measuring system based on Doppler principle is reliable stable, real-time, and with high practical value. It can connect with computers, display devices to form a monitoring system. The task of this research wants to use the Doppler navigation for designing a workable speed monitoring system, and make deepen researches on the speed measurement principle. It is not only used to monitor speed, can also be further converted into vehicle's speedometer. In addition, using the Doppler principle, can also design a variety of the speed measuring monitoring device used in wide areas such as the bullet muzzle velocity measurement in military, ball speed measurement in sports, the burglar alarm of the large places of medicine (CDFI), security (the complex, warehouses, libraries, etc.) and so on.
