In the development of underwater small arms, it is a critical problem to test its overall performance. To research the movement law of automatic mechanisms is an essential part.This paper introduce technical of virtual instrumentation based on PXI bus and laser Doppler velocity for the instantaneous velocity measuring of automatic mechanisms. The theories of classical interior ballistics, weapon gas dynamics, automation weapon dynamics and mufti-degree rigid-body dynamics were used to analyzing in detail and the 3D mathematics model of this machine gun is built up .At last we got the law of motion of automatic mechanisms. Then research on the principle, method, optical design and signal processing of LDV to determined the experiment plan. At last, designed the man-machine interactive interface and programming used the software Labwindows/CVI of virtual instrumentation.
