Study On Design Of Pavement Landscape For Residential District On The Urban

Residential landscape paving is an outdoor extension of residential architecture. As an indispensable part of residential landscape, good paving not only evacuates residential space, but also has a direct impact on the visual arts of the space as a kind of beautiful landscape. Under current development, landscape paving, as one of the elements of the whole residential landscape, has greatly caught the eyes of the designers. China pavement landscape design is still in its infancy and has many problems such as the stereotyped imitation of western styles, "urban heat island effect" as a result of abusive use of hard impervious materials, and the improper selection of materials, namely, hard and sharp materials causing unnecessary harm to children in outdoor activities.With its transport and aesthetic functions, landscape paving is a full embodiment of human's material and spiritual development. It can be divided into two types:vertical pavement and the ground pavement, and this paper mainly focuses on the latter. The paper falls into five parts. The first part introduced the research background and its significance, the second part was about principles of landscape paving design, the third and fourth parts concerned about design methods and elements, paving materials and their applications respectively. The fifth part was the case study. Based on the former analysis, this part proposed the practical method after a series of case study in the hope that it would have a practical significance for future landscape paving industry.
