Convenient traffic conditions is the key point to the historical block protection. Private car increased year by year, the road system as the urban skeleton is required to construct or modificatied accroding to the speed and the scale of cars,that create conflict from e traditional space of the historical block. Monorail is the orbit constituted by overhead railway. Mainly mounted on a ground where traffic congestion,the car operate along the aerial vehicle orbits. Although PRT concept is not aimed at protecting the historical block, but it contains some characteristic, such as low cost, convenient operation, saving land, driving force higher and so on. It can be used on protection and renovation of historical block, Finding a new mode of organic consistency about PRT and historical block.This paper, on the basis of understanding the historical block and the connotation of the protection, based on the investigation about typical historical block traffic situation, Summarizes common problem and in-depth analysis of the root of its existence. Through the comparative analysis on previous cases, introducing PRT traffic technology, expect to perform PRT traffic technology applied to historical block protection,so as to solve the traffic problems, restore historical blocks vigor.
