Electrical energy is one of the most important energy in human life,and gets more and more attention. Especially in recent years, with the rapid development of advanced technology, especially information technology, people put to the demand about electrical energy become higher and higher,and the damage that power quality results in is more and more outstanding. Such as happened in the grid voltage, current, voltage instability, distortion flicker and unbalanced three-phase problems always appear.So, researching power quality control technology has an important significance, which is to guarantee the stability and improve power grid power efficiency has very important practical significance.Static reactive power compensator (SVC) with its superior performance, which acts as the main device of electric power transmission with improving power quality and ensuring the reliability, plays an important role of dynamic voltage support and reactive compensation in power system.Although in modern power system, high voltage static reactive power compensator has be used widely, because each device manufacturer's product structure and realization way is variously, compensator practicability and reliability also is different.In order to obtain the better performance and more reasonable system structure, on the one hand, in this paper, it makes the research and development of high-voltage static reactive power compensator as main contents, which involve researching the significance and principle of reactive power compensation, comparing kinds of advantages and disadvantages of reactive power optimization and compensation methodss, and proposing the feasibling system structure of high-voltage static reactive power compensator, as well as analysising the proposed structure and principle.On the other hand, 6kv's high-voltage static reactive power compensator design is taken as example and proposed the detailed design ideas and methods. From the system design, the structure and principle of each part, it focuses on the hardware and software of realization process of researched sytem, which include thyristor trigger board and control management system, as well as the structure of the monitoring control system. Among the hardware design part, the design of hardware components of electronic circuit is given, which involve the description of principle, option principles of components, and experimental effects. In the software part of system, the implementation ways and procedures design process for real-time monitoring, fault detection, voltage control and power factor control is proposed in this section.Finally, in this paper,simulation of can loop and trigger experiment as well as filter design are taken , and in allusion to the proposed control method to the simulation and experiment about the proposed control method are carried out for showing the validity of the designed system.
