Into the 20th century, under the influence of the rapidly changing global social environment, the development of modern architectures Present the complex situation. In the modern visual culture of the consumption as the main feature, the rapid development of media and electronic technology's huge transformation thoroughly influence or even changed every aspect of the whole society, and affect the public aesthetic orientation on architectural design. In various historical stage of building development, the relation of form and function reflect different characteristics for skin adornment differences. At present, in the transformation of the architectural form, more and more people obtain the aesthetic orientation through the emphasis on the design of the building space skin. As building skin is the most direct visual carrier on esthetics building, the design of artistic building skin turn into the dialogue medium between human and architecture. Building skin become the spatial construction composition which move the person easily and resonate the participants. the contradictions of the functions and form in many building can be ease through the skin design. Skin still can reflect construction, decoration and even provide the function attributes that architectural element cannot give. This paper focusing on the interpretation of the concept on building skin, try to through the decorative beauty features of visual arts to explain many large problem in building skin field, and make building skin become the bridgebetween art and technology. The article is divided into three parts.The first part is about concepts of building skin; The second part is about the aesthetic characteristics on skin and its development. It combined with the value orientation of the building skin on decoration from the different aesthetic concept in history,and points out the space aesthetic phenomenon and the skin adornment form in current China's building; The third part combined with the typical building, study comparatively the aesthetic tendency about the architectural space skin adornment in the different historical period of Chinese and western. It reveals the aesthetic tendency of the architectural space on skin adornment, and tried to find out the standard of skin decoration for China's national conditions of building space aesthetic. This makes these standard evolve a way of thinking of group, and produces communication and resonance in man's heart, so as to it can provide the reference for the art works of building space skin that create the time feature and rich emotional significance.
