The Research On Ecological Energy-saving Design Of Traditional Architecture In Northern Hunan

With speeding development of economy, China obtains lots of benefits from urbanization, however there are still some problems exist. On one hand, in many regions, architectures are constructed without ecological environment. Thus, there are many conflicts between architecture and environment. In the process of construction, the architects are over dependent on machinery, rather than consideration of natural environment. In the same time, such phenomenon cause seriously wastes and destructions. On the other hand, affected by the tendency of globalization, many buildings in China are gradually losing their regional features. There are no differentials of architectures in different areas. The conceptions of respecting the environment and reducing the consumption of non-renewable resources are widely accepted by architects around the world.The paper focused on the traditional architectures in north Hunan. Through analyzing the strategy of environmental protection, skills, and features, it summarized the ecological model which adapts the buildings to environment in north Hunan and save energy. Thus, the ideology of which human and buildings will be harmony with nature will be practiced. And it is also a pathway to realize the environmental protection, Low-carbon lifestyle and energy saving. Using the literature review, comparison, analysis, and field investigation such manners, the paper investigated the climates and natural law in north Hunan. Via selecting the fitting ecological technology, it tried to take charge of natural discipline and resources, avoiding the negative effects of climates. Therefore, the construction interior will maintain the suitable temperature through energy saving manners. Moreover, the architectures adapt north Hunan's environment in some aspects such as physical environment, psychological environment, entire distribution, architectural composition, constructions, ecology structure, vice versa. Furthermore it heritages and develops the traditional features of architecture in north Hunan. Under the guidance of the logic such as"man is an integral part of nature""The ways of Tao are the ways of nature", the ancient ecological idea stemming from ancient Chinese psychology got birth and posed far-reaching effects on architectures in such period. The old ideology of"FengShui"which means that the location of a person's house and (or) ancestral grave, supposed to have an influence on the fortune of a family and his offsprings, supports the opinion. However, the traditional building was restricted by objective condition, have no choice but pick the passive form in design.In other words, it totally rely on natural methods to adjust thermal environment of constructions. The methods is valuable to spread in China which facing on the phenomenon such as resources shortage and imbalance development. But it does not means that the traditional method is the best solution. In contrast, the useful method is to combine the modern time technology and local culture, and practice a new"looking foreward"method.
