Jiaodong Peninsula which is arounded by sea and have lots of hills is the biggest peninsulas in ourcountry.The particular geographical and cultural background achieved the unique region characteristic and village features. Sunjiatuan,Muping district, Yantai,the village I chose is so special that it lacated with hills,sea and island. In history,estern Shandong is the cengter of maritime trade and transport traddic on sea. What is more, it is also sent to the birthplace of taoism. In the large background of Jiaodong,the dwellings in Sunjiatuan have many common characteristic of Jiaodong traditional dwellings, but they also have some stamp og their own worthy to explore and study.The sun's family came and settled Yangma island, from locating to building,and then the original form is built, a climate, resources and special geographical environment and natural conditions and the culture affected a lot. The village form also received influence from grading system of feudal society, so that the space hierarchy and levels are formed.While there is no strictly difference between spaces, they still can produce penetration and blends.The dwellings of Sunjiatuan are Chinese traditional rectangular courtyard style,while organizing the courtyard and the layout,people have their own choice and features.Outside we can see such concise and simple building appearance, and full of fishermen's style. In addition, some details also disclosed the humanized kind and villagers' wisdom.The purpose of this thesis is:based on the research of these villages and its dwellings, I want to record these traditional dwellings before they gradually exit people's lives, and to analyze them in my own way.
