The environment question's day-by-day aggravating let the people start to realize 'the ecology and environmental protection' already to become one of this time subjects. The design activity as the basic activity to plan and create the human habitat, plays an important role between person -society-environment, three essential factors of world constitution. How to balance the design activity with relations between the human pursue of better living condition and the environment protection, is a contemporary designer's important topic. Garbagebin'design is not exceptional.Garbage bin eco_design is a method to design Garbagebin by using eco_design idea. It is all ecological design concept derived from the influence of ecological culture. And it's also design activities with the social needs. Garbagebin eco_design is not only aprocess of product design,but also a design of a profound connotation of spirit design. It's a movement for semantic symbols onto reflection of the tradition design. A once Rational designs.Designers at abroad and home have been done many researchers in this field. But still there is no any achievement in theory Garbagebin eco_design yet.This thesis is in the light of theory of the Semiotics. First of all, the authorintroduces some Concepts about the Garbagebin eco_design,semiotics and the production language during the Garbage bin eco_design activities. Secondly, the author analyzes the significance of the eco_design and what the social significance about the theory can brought to us. And then comparing with the production which has been already produced. The principlesand the methods that the author used in this thesis are from the practice, investigation and analysis.Following are the conclude parts of this research:1. Inducting the semeiology into the study of Garbagebin designs; to make the aesthetic creation activities based on the forms of sculpt elements grow into the semeiology design activities based on the cognitive science; to make the Garbagebin design from the aesthetic inspiration trends to scientific creations under the instruction of semeiology. 2. Setting up a link between the semeiology and the Garbagebin design, that is to study the Garbagebin design as the inscape of symbols of Garbagebin design. Under the direction of semeiology, detailed analyses the special semantics of Garbagebin design. At the same time,making rise to the semantic creation of modality elements from the formal creation based on the semeiology, to realize the combination between the theory of design semeiology and the practice of Garbagebin design.3. Through the study of related theories about semeiology, according to the relations between signifier and signified of symbols to make a classified analysis of Garbagebin.4. On the basis of study on semeiology of Garbagebin,this paper attempts to bring forward a new design method based on the semeiology. In this way,to solve the problems in the Garbagebin design processes.
