Building energy conservation, low-carbon economy, saving energy and reducing emissions are thetrends of development Nowadays. People are focusing on using energy-saved&environmentprotected and renewable&ecological materials in the selection of materials. Meanwhile, peopleare pursuing better living conditions Along with economic development. People are increasinglylonging for natural and ecological landscape in the concrete jungles and overcrowded cities. Wood is aproduct of nature, it's one of the most ancient building materials, it played a vital role in theconstruction of human history. Wood is also a kind of energy-saved&environment protected andrenewable material, it has many advantages which other materials do not have, such as: light inweight, good mechanical performance, soft Touch-sense, sound absorption and sound proofing,ecological and natural. Landscape Architects pay more and more attentions to the application of woodin landscape architecture. This paper takes Hangzhou as the example, discusses the application ofwood in landscape architecture from aspect of application technique and forms.First, the article analyzed the physical and mechanical properties, as well as the advantages asbuilding materials from the properties of wooden materials. The paper discusses the technology,design principles of wood application in landscape, and explores the unity of function and art from thedesign perspective. This Paper take Hangzhou as example, Summarizes the timber application formsin landscape, clarifies the rules in timber structure design, offers better connection approaches anddetail treatment methods and provides helpful guidance for timber application in landscape.
