| In recent years, people pay more attention to environmental psychology. It gradually becomes a new research direction in the field of art and design. It has penetrated into many aspects of interior design and greatly contributes in heightening indoor atmosphere, style, taste and mood etc.. Creating indoor space environment is no longer a simple technique of design to fulfill the basic need of people for living environment by improving the quality of environment and the quality of people's life behavior. Environment psychology should be considered as the original basis and evaluation criteria of interior design.This thesis discusses environmental psychology of the interior design. It stars with the interaction between people and the environment. At beginning it reviews literatures and presents the rise and development of environmental psychology and discusses the purpose and meaning of environmental psychology researches as well as the direction of future development which combines with interior design. Then by using inductive analysis it deeply analysis and define the basic theories of environmental psychology. According to psychological and human factors and combining the characteristics of environmental psychology it describes the interaction of environmental psychology and modern residential interior design. Moreover, through of the analyze of construction system of environmental psychology and characteristics of residential interior design by comprehensive analysis way and combining the impact of psychology, physiology and aesthetic art in residential interior design it summarizes the application of environmental psychology approach. Meanwhile this paper also use research method to induce a modern residential interior design towards the humanity, emotional, cultural and artistic design requirements and interior design development. Based on environment psychology and combined with design aesthetics it improves and enriches the theoretical framework of modern residential interior design under the theme of'total harmony among human beings and living environment.This paper focuses on the practical application of environmental psychology in interior design and the application of "optical illusion" in the design reflecting the expectation of combining healthy residences and people's psychological need. It gives meaningful exploration and systematic study of modern residential interior design. |
