Along with the steel industrial flourishing development in China, there is a growing need for steel rolling motor, the types of steel rolling motor is also update continuously. Up to now, many motor manufacturing factories has provided more than many handreds sets of large synchronous frequency converted motor for our country's metallurgical industry. Most of these motors are high-power, low speed synchronous motors, which are used in hot tandem program. At the same time,because of the high power and high speed of these motors,it is difficult on the cold rolling and wire and rod projects,so the major steel mills most depend on imports at present.In order to change this situation,in 2008, the cold rolling main motor for the steel mill was researched and developed successfully by HEC, it was the first high power, high speed synchronous motor with frequency speed control.This topic comes from the cooperative project with the enterprise .On this basis, a TBP7000-6/2100 synchronous motor is designed in this dissertation. According to the motor's electromagnetic and structural design principle, the motor's electromagnetic properties and structure are determined. The feasibility of the motor design is verified by using test.In addition, according to former design experience, the biggest difficulty in the motor design is the strength problems of rotating parts. Because this kind of motors adopt non salient pole structure in abroad, is little affected by speed, while it adopts salient pole structure in China, thus speed directly affects the rotor strength. According to the material mechanics theory, the physical model of the rotating and connection parts is established,and finite element is carried on the business accounting. Using finite element theory analysis motor in high speed rotating cases, and influence of poles and coil to produce the centrifugal force, tail rotor pigeons, pole pigeons tail and pole linking piece pigeons tail. And carrying on strength calculation for motor pole blunt pieces and shaft and motor pole platen and shaft respectively, in accounting stress level in all parts is in the extent permitted, make the body connected with the shaft according with the prescribed standards for the design work stress condition, provide data support for desigh.When the motor is rotating at high speed,the tail rotor pigeons are easy break.according to this , the structure of pole linking piece pigeons tail.has been improved,A arc of radius 20mm was downed on the pole plate,the purpose is to reduce the stress concentration and reduce stress. Using finite element theory analysis ,founding the result is good. The technical innovation is feasible.
