Permanent magnet synchronous motor is a new type of electrical machine, which hasmany excellent perfbrmances, such as high efficiency, good characteristic and so on.TherefOre, it becomes an important .development direction of contemporary electricalmachines.In this paper, we at fist analyse the distribution of magnetic field in the permanentmagnet synchronous motor which rate power is 800W and calculate parameters of thismotor On the basis of the traditional approach to ca1culating armature reactance, we putforward a new method which is based on the iteration of the electromotive force equation,and name it after "electromotive oprce method". Moreover, we mensurate the reactances ofthe experimental motor by the way of direct Joad method, and verify the vaIidity of"electromotive force method ".Henceforth, we calculate the saliency ratio of improved motor by the way of"electromotive oprce method", and simulate the Start processions of original motor and theimproved motor with MATLAB language. From the result of simulation, we can find thatthe improved motor have better pefformance than the original motor...
