In order to make the design of mechanical products with lighter weight, smaller volume, lower cost and better reliability, engineering technical field is usually required for mechanical parts and mechanical structure optimization design. With the development of numerical methods and the rapid development of computer technology, many engineering problems with the help of computers use discrete numerical methods to solve. Numerical calculation method is an important way of finite element method (FEM) for structure optimization, it provides a proper platform. As a kind of structural optimization, topology optimization of new product development in the initial design plays an important role.Take the seat of vehicle as the research object, optimization research on the guide structure topology. Based introduction to the principles of topology and topology optimization methods, according to automotive seat rail technology needs to establish and deduced based on FEM of variable density topological optimization mathematical model; using the United States Altair software company to provide powerful finite element analysis software Hyperworks, in particular the use of the powerful mesh technology and optimization of optimal topology design of seat of vehicle. The major works were done as following:Firstly, use a back-to-back U block as a topological design geometric model, the model is optimized parameter definition, boundary conditions defined, finite element modeling, obtained by calculating the car seat rail wool embryo structure.Secondly, through the actual manufacturing process and topology design guide hair embryo binding, design new car seat rail structure, its strength was checked, and based on this the shape optimization, finally get a relatively perfect car seat rails, the rails can be the actual casting production and processing.Finally, in order to verify the feasibility of topology optimization design, we carried out a comparison bench test, the original design guide and using topological technique for the design of new rail for a number of physical properties of contrast analysis, the results show that the topological optimal design is feasible. The technology of the enterprise product design and has good application value.The main innovation points are: ( 1) with a simple U shaped long rail as the rail of the topological design of the original model; ( 2) the topology optimization design technology introduction automobile seat rail structure optimization design; ( 3) the higher level shape optimization technique is applied to the optimization design of the key parts of automobile.In conclusion, this paper studies the automobile seat rail structure topology optimization and shape optimization, the core automotive parts and components design has important practical value and theoretical significance.
