Data acquisition in underwater acoustic is an important part of underwater acoustic technology. With the development of underwater research in various fields, data acquisition system applied in underwater acoustic shows more and more diverse, and its functionality increases as well. Vector hydrophone is an effective device used to receive underwater acoustic signal, which overcomes many problems os scalar hydrophone. Recently, data acquisition used vector hydrophone has been a hot topic. On the ground of above preconditioning and data acquisition used vector hydrophone applied in submersible buoy system are investigated in this paper.An effective set of vector hydrophone data should include:the time information, the vector hydrophone layout information, and so on. The data derived from this system consists of data received by bector hydrophone, time information, and compass data. The signal of vector hydrophone can't be collect before preconditioning and time information is abtained by real time clock chip. While the compass data can be immediately received by interface in the system. Data is stored in a CF card with large capacity and managed in the form FAT32 file system.This thesis can be divied into parts of hardware design, sorftware design and system testing. The hardware section contains preconditioning circuita and digital circuits, in which the former pretreats the output signal from vector hydrophone, including amplification and filtering, and the latter is responsible for data collection, strorage and transmission. The section of software design are made up of MSP430 single chip microcomputer program design, CPLD program development, USB program development and interface program for computer. The section of system testing accomplishes test to performance of the system, employing the system for data collection and analysis.Through system performance testing and data collection experiments, it is found that the data collection system designed in this paper can basically satisfy the design specifications and achieve the expected goals.
