| As one of the main parts of submarine power device, the submarine propulsion apparatus bears a variety of complex loads during the underwater navigation. The reliability of the propulsion apparatus is the basic condition for the safe navigation. The unreasonable propulsion apparatus design will lead to the force in excess of the normal range, the excessive vibration and noise of shafts and hull, which could bring about shaft fracture. So the study on submarine propulsion apparatus, especially in shafts has increased enormously in recent years. Based on the propulsion apparatus of sightseeing mini-submarine, the study has been conducted as follows:Firstly, an propulsion installation of submarine has been designed according to given design parameters and design requirements, including driving system, shafts layout types, brake apparatus, lubrication and seal, etc.Secondly, the mathematical models of submarine shaft about moment, rotating angle, displacement, etc. have been set up. Then shafting alignment calculation has been conducted by MATLAB through the Three Moment Method. The bearings have been relocated through the calculation.Thirdly, the finite element modal analysis of shafts connected with rigid couplings and the shafts connected with elastic couplings have been discussed. The natural frequencies, the shapes and whirling speed in different steps have been worked out.Finally, structure topology optimization of the plummer blocks have been performed, and the finite element statics analysis of screw shaft, jack shaft, thrust spindle and results before and after optimization have been conducted. The stress and deformation status of the key parts have been obtained. The safety of strength and the rigidity of the propulsion unit have been confirmed. |
