As the core part of the non-load-type automobile body,standing most of the loads.While working,frame will stand the bending moment and shear strength from the bending and shear loads.And it will vibrate because of the stimulation from road surface and engine.so the frame structure is particularly important.Most of time,researchers design the chassis structure by their experiences without an effective design method as a reference.This thesis is about chassis conceptual design by topology optimization,First,consult papers to know structure topology optimization method history,its basis concept and development worldwide;Secondly create chassis model based on a commercial vehicle,mesh it,add loads and constraints to get the chassis topology optimization model.Design the chassis with the single and mutiple working condition design patterns to get the static chassis structure based on the seven typical working conditions;Introduce the inherent frequency to topoloy optimization,design the chassis under the dynamic working conditions to get a new chassis structure;Based on the dynamic chassis structure,divide it into four local areas and adopt twice-optimization method to get the final chassis structure which is almost the same as the actual one.Finally adopt FEA to analyse the new chassis's static strength,stiffness and modal to verify its quality by comparison with the original chassis.The new chassis mechanical quality improved to a certain extent and lightened 30kg,accomplishing the lightweight design objective.
