The Study On Lean Production Of The Bus Assembly Line

After nearly 40 years'development, by 2007, Chinese bus industry had been the top one in the quantity of producing and selling globally. The products had exported to more than 20 countries. Several bus enterprises had the capacity of more than 10,000 units very year. But the special Chinese bus industry selling features and the mode of mass-production cannot keep up with the bus industry features on several sides such as the different needs due to seasons, to orders, to bus models and so on. The common problems that all the enterprise have to face is how to make it on the way of sustainable development by the continuous creation of the management and the strengthening of base management, specially by reducing cost and increasing of efficiency and quality.Lean Production is named for the mode of Japanese automobile industry by the researcher of international automobile college of MASSACHUSETTS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY. The reason for using "lean" is that compared with the mass production, LP only needs half workers, half workshop, half design time, half research and developing time, much less storage but comes out much better quality and more types products. LP is the system based on board of demand trend. LP is considered as the most successful management in the bus industry all over the world. Now even the developed USA, European countries, and many Asian developing countries including China are doing research on LP and many enterprises are learning and promoting. Some achieved well some did not yet. Under the global competition, conception and philosophy of LP or TOYOTA mode is taken as a great way. LP (TPS) made Japan automobile industry became more competitive especially when the Japan automobile industry is far behind that of USA and Europe. After decade's efforts, Japanese automobile industries have overstepped that of USA. It is an apotheosis of LP.The topic is based on the LP theory in order to realize the "one-piece flow" production to increase the equalization of the assembling line and the stability of the products quality. The pursuant basement of the topic is according to the condition of technology, handling and the materials together with the scene. Using the bar-chart to analyze the equalization of the production line and to improve the problems by the 8D ways and PDCA loop, also with the help of the board control, scene 5S etc theory to make improvement on the problems and make it standardization, the topic will achieve the goals of efficiency increasing.
