With the increasing usage of power electronic devices and sensitive loads in power systems,power quality has attracted the attention of power provider and users over the past years. Especially in recent years, the interest in power quality has increased. In order to supply high-quality electricity services, it is essential to monitor power quality by real time.This thesis presents a real-time monitoring system of a power quality based on GSM module. It can measure three phase voltage , current and their harmonics, three disequilibrium and voltage sag. System computes the digital signal that samples with AD7656 the DSP. Both GSM communication and serial communication apply to the system. GSM communication is based on GSM network for remote communication. Serial communication is based on Modbus protocol for the local touch screen with RS232 communication method.With reference to the large number of literature, analyse the algorithms and Compare with the national standards of power qulity and consider the stability and Practical use.This thesis has designed a complete system including modular hardware and software. Simulink the system with the software Matlab and compare the result between simulation and experiment. The results verify the application value of the system. It is suitable for unmanned systems and large-scale industrial system.
