Research Of Rural Landscape Evaluation

As China enters the peak period of urbanization, the rural landscape is facing bothopportunities and challenges. The opportunity is the vigorous development of rural tourismbrings vitality and economic benefit; challenge is the tension between land and population, andprotecting rural eco-environment and rural natural environment. Nowadays, the main form ofdevelopment of domestic rural landscape is rural tourism. Lots of sightseeing agriculturalgardens, farmhouse, and other similar parks are built across the country. But the theoretical studyof the rural landscape is relatively immature, which extremely has influence on sustainabledevelopment of China's rural landscape.The rural landscape assessment is the basis and prerequisite of the development of ruraltourism. The accuracy of the evaluation will be directly related to the development of the tourismresources, promote the harmonious coexist of human behavior and environment.Through literature review of landscape evaluation, this study conduct detailed evaluation byapplying investigation, hierarchical analysis, expert grading and integrated evaluation. The resultis used to guide practice.The paper includes four sections, introduction, theoretical research, field investigations, andstudy.The first chapter introduces the topic and theme, clarifies the framework of the study. Thesecond chapter has an overview of evaluation of rural landscape including theory and methods,interpreted the current research and evaluation fields (scenic resource evaluation, environmentalassessment). Chapter3focuses on an study area and landscape evaluation methods. Throughliterature review of landscape evaluation, this study conduct detailed evaluation by applyinginvestigation, hierarchical analysis, expert grading and integrated evaluation in Tianfu HuaqiaoEco-Agricultural Park. Chapter4conducts investigation and analysis on environment, landscapeeffect and social economy based on investigation system. Water, soil, plant and noise areincluded as environment factors. Land use of four individual zones are investigated. Ruralscenery, tribe landscape and river scenery are concluded as good landscape resources. Field tripphoto, observation are the main ways to investigate landscape effect while socio-economicinvestigation results are gained from site visit, interview and statistical data. Chapter5is talkingabout the integrated evaluation of rural landscape in study area. Investigation system and factorsare connected to develop the comprehensive evaluations system in study area. The results revealthis area-all the four zones owns good eco-environment, fair landscape effect, socio-economy isacceptable but fair agricultural economy. The grade of them are getting small as below: Zone3>Zone2>Zone4>Zone1.Suggestions are developed for future spatial planning. Zone3and Zone2are core areas for agricultural sight seeing areas. After field restoration, Zone1and Zone4can be used as agricultural production. Based on the evaluation and suggestion, planning ofHuaqiao Tianfu eco-agricultural park is generated including zoning, Tianfu Old Town regionalplanning, water system planning, transportation planning, plant planning and industrial planning.The last chapter is the conclusion.
