The Research On The Morphogenesis Of The Street System In Traditional Town District

As the precious resource of material and spirit in our cities, traditional cities and towns has aroused wide social concern. With the maturity towards the conservation and development of traditional towns, many scholars also raised their mode of city protective development, but as far as the description system of town space form is concerned ,the relative shortage of it cases the identity of the traditional space couldn't be renewal well.This thesis studies on the town street space morphology, hoping to establish a analysis system of it as well, finding a quantitative description method system under the framework of this analysis system, then make the description of town street space morphology more comprehensive and precisely at the end.First of all, some relative research in the areas of city morphology have been summarized, and under the framework of which, the concept of Gene patterns analysis model which focused on the morphology of city street system is raised, referring to the relative concept of gene theory in modern Biology, Then some of the city street morphology rules has been analysed using these model.Based on these, a digital analysis platform is built which especially concerns about the elements of frame infrastructure and Fractal, trying to describe the morphology elements of city street samples in a new way.This research spots light on the exploration of space morphology. Although it is very hard and has a long way to go, this thesis shows a good start and the bright future in this area...
