The transformers are important equipments in power-supply companies and therunning state of them has direct impact on the security of power system. After analyzing themaintenance information of transformers belonging to Shijiazhuang power-supply company,this paper puts forward that information analysis system of transformer maintenance shouldbe established so that we can enquire into the information data conveniently and promptly.This will show the supervisors the multidimensional graphics of maintenance informationand then they can make economical decisions, reasonable arrangements and correspondingmaintenance plan.The purpose of the paper is:(1) to present domestic and international status and development trend of equipmentsmaintenance including transformers maintenance at power-supply company.(2) to introduce the characteristics , basic principle, major operations and the relationsbetween them in business intelligence concerning OLAP, data base and provide theoreticalfoundation for the system development and subsequent research.(3) to analyze the basic principles when setting up the system and introduce thecomponents and modules chosen corresponding to the principles according to theapplication background, conditions of research and development and the requirements forthe design of system structure; to partially analyze and design the system in details.The paper suggests that we should establish multidimensional data modules inagreement with the company's needs and then transfer the data to database. We also shouldanalyze and design data cube by means of Oracle database system and present thecustomers the multidimensional data from which the decision makers can obtain variousinformation they need.
