Along with the paying more attention to the social vulnerable groups in the environment ofthe city, landscape construction point also turned to the people with special needs. And for all thesensory barrier-free design is, especially the special groups provide in each kind of activity place,path and facilities material things between people and the disabled in psychology, informationcommunication exchange in the spirit of the disabled environment.This paper, from the Angle of barrier-free design, the disabled people are divided into fourtypes, and combined with different types of disabled people senses the demands, as well as to therequirement of environment landscape, this paper discusses the landscape outdoor environmentbarrier-free design should follow the principle of the senses, the needs of the application designelements, design methods and should have many functions, and make the study practice in thedesign of the actual project.Through the research of the British Dundee city residents, and make full uses of thelandscape design element such as plant disposition, sketch build, water, material and color, usethe methods of comprehensive application including five feelings, and design the British Dundeecity barrier-free sensory square with the overall design elements, to have all kinds of functionslike the choice, leisure, entertainment, fitness, making friends and.Meanwhile, taking the UK, Japan and other foreign environment in the landscape design asexamples, get the analysis of obstacle-free senses, as well as to get the ideas of the BritishDundee barrier-free design of sensory square, then put forward disabled enlightenment in theconcepts and methods which are good for China outdoor environment landscape design of thesenses.
