Study On Historic Architecture Regeneration From Event Perspective

China is now situated at a time of rapid urbanization. A large number of historic architectures are faced with huge challenges in the process of urbanization. Many industrial cities are confronted with big scale industrial structural modulation. Enormous original industries are migrated outside the cities. Third industry has become of crucial importance in city center functions. Hence, a large number of industrial historic architectures are left behind. With the strengthening of environmental protection concept and cultural sense of belonging, protecting and re-utilizing of historic architectures have become a general consensus. As a result, in the process of urbanization, historic architectures are faced with unprecedented challenge, and have obtained unprecedented conservation and re-utilizing opportunities. The studies on historic architecture protection and re-utilizing are receiving more and more attention.Looking at the studies on historic architecture protection and re-utilizing domestic and abroad, the main focus is on the design principle and design method in the process of historic architecture re-utilizing. The issue of regeneration has not been studied from the perspective of event. The events related to historic architectures have vital impact on the regeneration of historic architectures. The reason is that the events reflect the inter-existence continuance relations of the historic architectures. From the perspective of events related to historic architectures , via the study methods of literature review, case analysis, and field survey, this paper studies the impact of historic events, city update events, daily events, occasional events and commemorative events related to the historic architectures. And upon it, this paper further explores the strategies of regeneration design of the historic architectures based on events perspective. And through the in-depth analysis of various events associated with the historic architectures, a series of relatively complete design strategy is proposed. At the end of the paper, via the concept design of"Han Yang Zao"cultural innovation industrial zone, historic architecture design strategy based on events perspective is applied in practical design, to validate the feasibility of design strategy based on events in the practical design of historic architectures.
