An Automatic Test System For The Withstand Voltage Reliability Of Frame Circuit Breaker

As the main components of low-voltage electrical, the circuit breaker widely used in various power distribution networks. The reliability it works has a direct impact on low-voltage distribution network, and plays a very important role in national economic development and people's lives. Insulation performance is one indicator of its reliability, voltage withstand test is the necessary technical means of performance test. At present, most withstand voltage test used by manual testing. The test works not only less efficiency and dangerous, the test result determined is subjective. So modernization of the automated test system needed to standardize the testing process and improve testing efficiency.An automatic test system used for withstand voltage test of frame circuit breaker is developed based on industrial computer and PLC. The system apply high test voltage on the test point of circuit breaker that can be switched automatically to test the reliability of insulation withstand voltage, and automatically determine the test result whether to meet the technical specification. Compared with present test methods and equipments, the system introduced in this paper has some merits such as standardization, high automation, efficiency and generality. It has been put into trial run in the universal circuit breaker assembly line operates well in practice.The system runs PC configuration software to develop more functions, for example user management, product management, real-time test process control, store and print test reports and so on, and to strengthen the process of production test management. Finally, make a preliminary introduction in outlook on soft PLC based on embedded Linux for the broad development prospects of soft PLC in the industrials field.
