Research On The Interactive Enlightenment Between Organic Architectures And Product Design

Organic design emerged in the end of 19th century and developed slowly, but it had began to revive until the humanity has realized the drawbacks of industrialization after the world resources crisis. In this thesis, organic design idea is taken as the research mainline, organic architectures and products with organic design ideas are taken as the research object, the manifestation of organic design idea in architecture field is arranged, the core of organic architecture design idea is summarized, and the enlightenments of organic architectures to product design is discussed. The derivative, multiplicity, constancy and versatility of organic design idea are expounded in massive illustrations, and the homology between architecture design and product design is pointed out. In the contemporary, the development of architecture design and product design is mutually enlightened.There are four chapters in the thesis. In the first chapter, the origin, present situation, goal and significance of the project are introduced, the research subjects and research contents of the thesis are defined, the research contents and techniques are briefly introduced, and the frame of the thesis is listed. In the second chapter, the tracing inspection to the organic design idea are made, the homology between architectures and products is pointed out. So the phenomenon occurs that organic architectures and organic furniture appear according to order. In addition, the design principles of organic architectures are summarized, and the derivative of organic design idea displaying in product design field is demonstrated in the course of summing up of the development of organic furniture, the interactive enlightenment and harmony are also pointed out between products and architectures. In the third chapter, firstly, the central contents of the organic architectural design idea are summarized. The constancy of organic design idea is explained through the comparison of new and old organic architectures.Then, the actual cases of organic design idea being used to guiding product design are recorded, the commonality of organic design idea in both architecture and product design is proved. Finally, product design will develop along with the mature organic design idea by organic architecture, this brings about the enlightenment from organic architecture to product design.In the fourth chapter, the projections of all kinds of organic architecture forms in product domain are elaborated through one-to-one illustrations, the multiplicity of organic design idea is proved. And it is found that the shaping of product shape can alse provide the enlightenment to architectures by comparison. There is a multiple interacting performance phenomena between architectures and products in the present age. In the conclusion, the research content of this thesis is briefly summarized, and the following points of view are put forward. The development of organic design idea will be related closelt with technology and ecology in the future, and will more deeply learn from and simulate the nature. Learning from the nature means that the exploration of the human for the nature will become deeper and deeper, simulating the nature means that the human will try hard to make artificialities more reasonable. Therefore, the architectures and products guided by organic design idea will still display the multiplicity and derivative, perhaps the variation will appear along with the development of time, however, their essence are still the natural law.
