Urban Roadside Green Space Planning And Design

Urban roadside green space is one kind of common and widely popular urban public space. Its important functions include improving the urban environment,uplifting the quality of urban living and so on. In today's urban planning designs,it is drawing more and more attentions.Urban roadside green space is the important component of the urban green space,located in various places in the urban area, decorating the living space of urban residents. Due to the diversity of its location, form and function,urban roadside green space has become an important place for the daily activities of urban residents. In view of its popularity and importance,this thesis focus on the planning design of urban roadside green space.In the beginning,the thesis discusses the status quo of domestical and international related researches, definitions,genres, functions and characteristics of urban roadside green space. Theri,based on the theories of landscape design,landscape ecology and environmental behavioral science,this thesis discusses the design of urban roadside green space with various landscape elements and boundary spaces.In the last chapter,this thesis carries out a practical research and analysis on the example of the planning design of urban roadside green space in Wuan city of Hebei province. By way of integrating the landscape of roadside green space into the whole urban landscape,the approach was to uplift the quality of planning design of the local urban landscape.Through the discussion of this thesis,the author is trying to improve the planning design of urban roadside green space,so as to uplift its overall landscape effect,improve its functions and bring out its better service...
