“Water Culture” is one important part of the original human cultures.The waterpenetrated into every aspect of the basic needs for survival and economic development ofhuman’s life, and even continue inspirit artistic creation and religion. The landscape as anartistic expression of human living environment, expresses the ideal of a survival.Complexity, universality and comprehensiveness are the majority features of planningand design the urban waterfront greenbelt. Waterfront greenbelt play very important role innatural and social spheres—transportation, water conservation, recreation, ecologicalbalance—reflects its properties with the most frequent human activities. Residents invarious places have diversification of the functional demands of the local rivers, waterfrontarea and humanities requirements determine not only the waterfront greenbelt planning anddesign should to meet the local demands of different cities diversified design, but alsodesigner be request the ability of comprehensive holistic requirements—summarize thehydrogeological condition of the urban area waterfront, fusion the characteristics of localrivers and urban functions, combined with the waters of the wildlife and ecologicalenvironment, the integration of regional characteristics of historical context and the imageof the city.This thesis is divided into seven chapters.Chapter1is devoted to the basic aspects of the topic: background, significance,theoretical basis and main content. It introduces the research methods, methods andtechnology roadmap,and define relevant concepts.Chapter2elaborates the developments and conditions of the urban waterfront greenspace in China and abroad. The relevant theoretical basis and practical content is reviewedand selected. Also, it draws on relevant experience and explore its development trend.The3rd chapter Classification the urban waterfront green space, to study thecharacteristics of the various types of different classification criteria, and to summarizesthe characteristics of urban waterfront green space.The space frame analysis of urban waterfront green space is described in chapter4.Then, explore the impact of the various elements of urban waterfront green space from thespatial characteristics of the elements of composition and spatial entitiesChapter5puts forward the principle、method and design content through the currentsituation. Then, it summaries the standards and recommendations.Chapter6Standing spatial perspective to guide and analyze the actual case—ThePresent problems and design positioning of Jinshui River waterfront green space inZhengzhou City. And also focus on the planning and design patterns and specific method.Chapter7presents the conclusion overview of the research, and looking to the urbanwaterfront green space in the future development trend, and Explore the design practices ofHighlighting the Ecological and cultural characteristics,and explore the specificimplementation problems.
