Accelerating the development of medical and health services as well as improving health care reform, become to be the primary means against the challenges of aging.With social progress and economy development, people's sense of self-care is increasingly strengthening, more and more medical products are getting into the normal family. Household medical care offers a good way for aged people to monitor their health status as well as treat for common diseases. On the one hand, comparing with hospital treatment, household health care could reduce the elder psychological burden and save cost, as well as facilitate for family members to accompany; on the other hand, household medical products are easy to use, and combines prevention with cure, offering long-term help for the elder. It breaks the previous restrict of hospital care, so that patients'families and patients themselves could be involved in. The traditional medical products were based on the user as the medical staff, so that cannot be well adapted to the change that the user is patients or their families but not the professional staff any more. So facing this problem, we must take the elders and the family as the subject of design to consider, at the same time, the changes of subject effect the perspective of design. With the concepts of medical care changing and the awareness of self-care strengthening, more and more household medical care products continue going into homes.This paper from the view of emotional design explores the methods and principles of household medical products design. Firstly, based on the status of aging population and the health status of the aged the author briefly introduces research background and meaning, purpose and methods and the framework of this paper. Secondly, through analyzing and summering the physiological and psychological characteristics of and cognitive features of the aged, the author wants to offer a basis for household medical products emotional design of the aged. The author put forward personal idea through analysis and summarizing the problem of the present household products of the aged. Then study and summarize the emotional characteristics of the aged, and by investigation and analysis, wording out the needs characteristics of household product of the aged. And, ultimately, from the view of user-centered, the author studied and analyzed the principles, methods and constrained elements of household medical products emotional design of the aged. |
