As the nature hydrologic cycle, hydropower resource can be sustainable used by human beings. To meet the requirements of economic development and social progress, water conservancy projects are implemented. With the benefits of hydropower utilize, it also brings negative effects in different level. This paper took the reducing reach of a diversion type power station as the research object, based on the demand of ecotope maintaining and fish habitat, studied the minimum ecological flow. And it proposed the mitigation measures which could alleviate the negative effect of environment.(1) The ecological influenceBecause of the water diversion, it forms water reducing or dewatering reach between the levee to the workshop; the effect of the levee barrier; the effect of the hydrological regime, etc.(2) The ecological water demandTaking the eco-hydraulics way to count the ecological basic flow is based on the research of section parameters and hydraulic habitat parameters. Using the Tennant method as certificated way checks the results.(3) The mitigation measuresBased on the influence analysis of the hydrological regime, sediment situation, water environment, terrestrial ecosystems and aquatic ecosystems, it puts forward relevant measures.
